Who We Are: Lauren

I started in this industry as a Design Student, working at a flooring company in Flagstaff, Arizona. After graduation, my husband and I moved here to Portland, so he could attend Dental School. I worked in the design field for a year or so, until two years ago, when I began my career here at Area Floors. I currently manage the Foster store and tend to dabble in everything from helping customers to keeping the computers running on the back end. I love the design possibilities and the function of flooring. I think my favorite part of the job is seeing that happy look on the customer’s face. The one when you know they found “it” and are super excited to see it completed.

One of my favorite products to work with is Mannington’s Adura LVT. It’s easy to install, even I could do it, and the styles are extremely realistic. Plus, it’s just super durable.

When I’m not at Area Floors, I like to hang out with my hubby, our two dogs, and our parrot. We also do historical reenacting with the Oregon Regency Society, yes I’m a nerd.
